EARTHY LUXE WEDDING: NAOMI & MIKE

If you are more of the "earthy luxe" kind of bride, then you must check out the photographer & designer behind all this prettyness,  Rob Spring Photography and Christina Norris Design. Rob is way more than a pleasure to have around on your day special day, he is literally the life of the party! Always making my bridal party and bride feeling so relaxed.

For Naomi's makeup look, she opted to go more natural than she did for her engagement shoot.  For her wedding day, I applied a light dusting of silvers, lots of mascara & individual eyelashes to compliment her eyes and make them appear more dramatic without using dark tone eyeshadow.

I LOVED the earthy elegance feel of this wedding Christina Norris created.  If theres's one thing I've learned seeing weddings being planned start to finish, it's that that every bride is different and what ever you choose.... make it your own xo

SIMPLE MAKEUP ROUTINE: 10 MINUTES

I really need to upgrade my photography skills, so I apologize in advance for taking these before & afters with my iPhone.  The goal of this post is to show you the power of makeup, and how much fun it is!

Makeup is a fantastic way to be creative, have fun, and become more comfortable with one's natural features.
This morning? Wasn't feeling very creative.  Actually didn't really feel like getting out of bed! ha ha ha! So comfy!

Solution?  My favorite tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier, Eyeshadow in Tease by Urban Decay -- with emphasis on the new waterproof black gel liner by Cailyn.  I picked up this amazing gel eyeliner at the International Makeup Tradeshow, and was drawn to its packaging.   The packaging is super convenient with a built in makeup brush.  The point on the brush is flexible, so you can shape the brush to do a dramatic line or a thin liner.  This liner has a 24 hour staying power, super, super easy to apply!

For the lips, I lined my entire lips with an NYX lip liner in pink.  For the middle of my lips, I took a very very small amount of a mid-tone pink by Obsessive Compulsive in the color Memento -- just to smooth out the lip liner.

You can bronze yourself up if you want or keep it super simple, and skip the contouring. Whatever route you may choose, you can achieve this simple makeup look in 10 min. Plus all the products fit in your back pocket.  Have fun!

WEEKEND BLISS + OH IN LOVE: NIKKI & MARK

What a week, weekend, a really great one, I am in top form & summmer is starting! Yippie!!

It was a absolutely gorgeous weekend filled with sun, love + makeup.  It certainly was a beautiful ride on Saturday to Manchester, Vermont for my bride Tara & her hubby Chris's BIG day!  Stunning view from the Wilburton Inn, right?

Left:  My beautiful bride Tara & I
Right:  Always arrive early so you can walk around the venue, and enjoy a cup of tea with beautiful scenery ;)

Thanks to everyone who participated in the makeup brush contest last week.  My followers seemed to really enjoy winning something free, so please check back to my facebook page and blog for more giveaways soon.

Todays featured wedding was photographed by the lovely tiffany wayne photography, super talented lady! Nikki was a doll to work with, the sweetest person in the world and Mark is so lucky have Nikki as his wife! For Nikki's makeup look, I created a palette of soft peach, a dusting of golds and browns to balance the texture of her stunning wedding gown and hair accessories.  Full fluttery lashes were added for drama.  For bridal makeup, lashes are super important so your eyes pop in professional photography!  Strip, individual, or just a few... atleast try them at your makeup trial.  You will love them!

Tiffany Wayne captured the dress, as well as the entire wedding, so beautifully just as Nikki had envisioned.  You can view more of this wedding at her blog, here.

KERRIE + FARLEY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS IN LAKE GEORGE

I am very excited for Kerri and Farleys wedding this December!  Baily Photography did their engagement photos on the North end of Lake George.  It was an beautiful day for an engagement shoot, and Kerri arrived bright and early at my place for her makeup trial.  She drove almost an hour to come see me, thanks girl!

For her makeup, I am obsessed with Kerrie's eyes so I decided to use a dramatic makeup palette with a full set of fluttery black lashes, and lots of black eyeliner. This created a slightly smoldering effect with emphasis on her beautiful eyes and flawless skin. I finished off her makeup with a posey pink lip, creating a polished and pretty look with an effortless feel.

It has been a pleasure getting to know my bride-to-be Kerri over the last year.  Congratulations and I'll see you two love birds in December!
