1 BRIDE + A BEAUTIFUL BRIDAL PARTY

Kellie's bridal beauty look was so classy.  Her bridal party consisted of 11 girls & they were all naturally so gorgeous.  Thankfully I had my AMAZING assistant with me to get the girls ready in time.  Thank You Veronica!

Kellie asked me to come to the wedding for touch-ups & photos too. I LOVED my life!

Congratulations Kellie!! Thank You so much for choosing me to glam you girls up.

Hair Rouging

This video - Gonna Get Over You by Sara Bareilles - is a fun inspiration video for the week.

How fabulous does Sara look with this make-up & hair?  I love it! We don't get to see Sara glammed like this often and I am loving everything from the dancing, make-up & of course the voluminous hair! For an extra boost in the front of your hair like Sara, use a technique called Rouging.  You want to lift a section and comb backwards building support at the root and then smooth down. Your section can be in the front of your head or at the crown of your head.  For this video, the hairstylist opted to rouge the front of the head.  Maybe you are going for the "bigger the better" look or a more toned down rouge, it all depends on the look you are going for. The extra volume will give you dimension and be really pretty paired with make-up like seen here.

With the right comb & hairspray your extra volume won't fall.  Yes, not even when you go to the grocery store later and bust a move ;)

Suggested Tools:  Monroe Teasing U Brush ($9.45, not as lightweight) or the Wimex Teasing Boar Brush ($2.75, lightweight).  Aveda Controlforce Firm Hold Hair Spray ($26)

What do you think of the video? Now that's some sexy, big hair!

THE AU NATUREL BRIDE

Last weekend I had the pleasure of glamming up a beautiful local TV personality Taryn Fitsik Kane.  Her  look was timeless.  Taryn requested lots of pretty fluttery individual lashes, so in order to do this we kept the rest of her make-up lowkey as not to compete.  She picked a lip stain by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, which is 100% Vegan & Cruelty free.  I was pleased when Taryn opted for the OCC brand because I had just met the owner of the line 2 weeks prior to her wedding.  The lip tar I used on Taryn was Hush & Divine mixed together and they applied so beautifully and dried almost like a stain for a sheer hint of color that was kiss proof.  Once it dried, I recommended to Taryn that all she needed to bring with her was her favorite flavored lip balm or gloss for her honey ;)

There is something beautiful about a bride who chooses to look more like the glowing version of themselves.  These pictures prove that fresh & flawless on the day of your wedding is always a good look.
