CUSTOM BLENDING IN STYLE

How stylish are these custom made blending palettes by Crystal Powder ($20), which fit snug on your wrist for comfort! As a make-up artist using the back of your hand is not the most sanitary palette to mix and apply cosmetics to your clients.  I think these are perfect for keeping the make-up experience clean & cute!

Do you want to get your paws on one of these?

THANK YOU!

Happy Thanksgiving!! & a BIG Thank You to everyone who stopped by my bridal glam station at The Desmond Bridal Show this past Sunday!  I had so much fun touching up eye make-up, airbrushing foundations, highlight & contours onto future brides and I look forward to making you glow!

I also want to express my Thanks to all my blog readers, past brides, clients and vendors for your business, love & encouragement this past year!

How will you all be spending your Thanksgiving?  I will be spending the day at my fathers restaurant, Salty's Pub and Bistro in Clifton Park serving up free meals to individuals or families that need an extra boost this Thanksgiving with the traditional Thanksgiving meal.... turkey & all the fixings! I defiantly feel blessed and I am happy that my family & The Twin Bridges Rotary Club can share that joy with our friends & neighbors.  If you know of anyone with families or individuals who you believe would be well served by our Thanksgiving celebration, let me know!

Thank You!

STATEMENT LASHES

Hello!  I should have posted this before Halloween because I was soo excited to let you in on the new laser cut paper lashes available at exclusively at Sephora but I forgot!  How fun are these statement eyelashes by Paperself!  Each eyelash carries a symbolic meaning, with horses representing success; butterflies personifying freedom; and peach blossoms representing love & romance.  I think these lashes are super unique and expressive and would be perfect for any concept shoot.  I can't wait to use mine!

BRIGHTEN UP YOUR DAY

I am loving all the Neon statement peices on the market right now.  From bright colored jeans, colored mascara (love this trend), bright nails, bright shoes, bright EVERYTHING. This fushia lip is stunning done right on well moisturized & exfoliated lips.    Check out this video by Pixiwoo.  These girls are fantastic!

A DISTINGUISHED MUSICIAN GROOMED

Today's featured post is of a very talented musician John Charles Cook.  I first heard John's music at Deborah DePasquale Designs, which was a super cute & chic open house for her new studio location.  I later met John at a different event and we chatted it up about music & make-up! I was thrilled when John contacted me and wanted me to groom him up for his new website photos, coming soon!. John has been playing classical, jazz standards and popular music for all types of weddings and events for over the last 30 years Worldwide.  In addition to performing at events, he is a guitar instructor at Carondolet Music in Latham, New York and also provides private lessons at this home.

On to the Grooming!
Johns grooming consisted of hydrating the under-eye area and concealing.  I then applied a mattifying gel through the t-zone to neutralize oil production & dusted a tiny bit of urban decays de-slick powder on top.  Lastly I trimmed and filled his brows in, made sure his skin complexion was perfectly even, did a bit of contouring and my job was done!

 Grooming essentials:
Z Palette customized with the Ben Nye's Eye and Fashion Rouge Palettes in a complete perfect range of neutral shades for male grooming.

I am loving these professional pictures Dwight Pierre took of John and I having some fun in-between shots.  Dwight insisted I get in on the shoot, so I started playing the guitar with my make-up brushes ha ha ha!

Check out this behind the scenes video of the shoot held at The Cupcake Lab in Saratoga. Yum!

Have you checked out John Charles Cook on youtube yet? Whats your favorite song?
