A DISTINGUISHED MUSICIAN GROOMED

Today's featured post is of a very talented musician John Charles Cook.  I first heard John's music at Deborah DePasquale Designs, which was a super cute & chic open house for her new studio location.  I later met John at a different event and we chatted it up about music & make-up! I was thrilled when John contacted me and wanted me to groom him up for his new website photos, coming soon!. John has been playing classical, jazz standards and popular music for all types of weddings and events for over the last 30 years Worldwide.  In addition to performing at events, he is a guitar instructor at Carondolet Music in Latham, New York and also provides private lessons at this home.

On to the Grooming!
Johns grooming consisted of hydrating the under-eye area and concealing.  I then applied a mattifying gel through the t-zone to neutralize oil production & dusted a tiny bit of urban decays de-slick powder on top.  Lastly I trimmed and filled his brows in, made sure his skin complexion was perfectly even, did a bit of contouring and my job was done!

 Grooming essentials:
Z Palette customized with the Ben Nye's Eye and Fashion Rouge Palettes in a complete perfect range of neutral shades for male grooming.

I am loving these professional pictures Dwight Pierre took of John and I having some fun in-between shots.  Dwight insisted I get in on the shoot, so I started playing the guitar with my make-up brushes ha ha ha!

Check out this behind the scenes video of the shoot held at The Cupcake Lab in Saratoga. Yum!

Have you checked out John Charles Cook on youtube yet? Whats your favorite song?
